America is in the grips of a food fight. Our food system is ridden with chemical-treated, sugary, packaged, salt-laden foods that can lead not only to diseases such as heart disease and obesity, but also hundreds of thousands of premature deaths each year.
Increased food education can prevent these diseases and deaths and empower all of us to lead happier, healthier lives. That’s why Integrative Nutrition is partnering with Food Day, a grassroots campaign that’s dedicated to transforming the American diet. Its annual celebration will take place this year on October 24, 2012, to raise awareness about the ways we can all take part in creating a healthier, sustainable, and more affordable food system.
It’s all happening one month from today, and there are already more than 900 events taking place in 49 states. To connect with someone already planning a Food Day event please see the list of coordinators. You can also host your own event by filling out this online event registration form.
