The High Line Skate Rink
New York City is famous for their creative pop-up shops, and the Uniqlo roller skating rink is no exception. The retailer opened up a small Uniqlo outpost under the High Line Park and roller skating rink next to it. For $12 you can rent skates and get a fun work out with some serious New York flair. Yoga to the People
Take a relaxing break from the hustle and bustle of New York streets with a class at Yoga to the People. The studio provides Power Vinyasa and Traditional Hot Yoga classes for free at all four of their Manhattan locations. Check their schedule online and make sure you get there early as classes fill up quick!
Bike and Roll NYC
If you want to see all of the sites, but don’t want to walk, consider renting a bike at Bike and Roll NYC. The company has plenty of rental locations in Manhattan ranging from the East River Park to Columbus Circle and all the way down to Battery Park. Rent one for the day for $44 or $39 for four hours and bike away!
Westside YMCA Run Club
If you want to get in a quick run but don’t want to get lost, head up to the West Side Y, which is only a short train ride from the Javits center, to join in on a free, organized run club in Central Park. Runners vary in speed and distance so you are sure to find a running buddy that is the same pace as you. Check out their website for more info.
Looking for a quick and easy workout that will leave you time to sight-see? Well, would you settle for quick? This 20 minute strength training workout is serious, yet safe, for anybody. Experience it once and you will never look at exercise the same way again. At internationally renowned InForm Fitness in Midtown Manhattan, you'll be amazed at how completely worked out you feel in such a short time. A new fitness craze is taking NYC by storm: group hula hooping classes. Hoopnotica, a hula hooping Meet Up group, holds classes in parks across the city, many of which are free to attendees, excluding the $3 hoop rental fee. lululemon Bryant Park Yoga
The Women’s athletic apparel brand is notorious for providing free classes for their shoppers. In NYC, Lulu Lemon offers free yoga classes in Bryant Park, as well as run clubs that meet at several of their stores. Check out the schedule on their website to find a class or run that you are interested in.
