I have a room for one person at the Crowne Plaza Time Square. $150 your share per night.

I am a fan of using City Maps for, well everything, but in particular for finding a great restaurant. It was just "Matrix Approved" by NY Mag and it is off the charts!

I would also add Purume on East 13th between 5th and University. They recently revamped their menu. It is quiet, serene and the ingredients are mostly local and all organic. It is a predominantly vegan menu but fresh fish from the Union Square Greenmarket is also available. Gluten-free friendly menu, too. Great for groups!

For quick take away places for juice, snacks, and uncomplicated healthy dishes, I'd suggest Lifethyme Market on Sixth Avenue near Christopher and Organic Avenue (raw foods), which has several locations. Also, One Lucky Duck (raw foods) on east 17th off Irving Place.

I agree with all the other suggestions, too!

Hi! Very excited for the Live in NYC conference. I'm traveling from Chicago and was wondering if anyone else from the Windy City will be coming? I'd love to chat before we go.
Thx-Mindy Greenberg

Anyone coming from Canada? I am flying in from British Columbia on the 16th.....so excited to meet everyone and get even more revved up about our course and future!

The best vegetarian and raw foods restaurant in NYC is Bonobos on 18 E. 23rd Street
at Madison Avenue overlooking Madison Square Park. I have been living in NYC for almost 20 years and have eaten all almost all the restaurants on this list, but no place is live Bonobos! It is like a shot of energy and light! You can get your food to go and then eat in the part right across the street.

Try Bonobos restaurant at 18 E. 23rd Street (at Madison Avenue). It is the best Raw Food restaurant in the city. You can get your food to go and sit across the street in the Madison Square Park. A great NYC experience.

Hi Mindy:

I'm from Chicago, arriving Friday late afternoon, 3pm, leaving Monday. I have a roommate. We'll be staying on 34th Street in Manhattan. What are your eating preferences? I'm vegan, predominantly Raw but I do eat cooked and fish. The restaurant recommendations sound fantastic.

I would love to go sightseeing Friday. What are your plans. I am going to dinner at Pure late Saturday night 9:30pm, otherwise I'm free after the conference on Sunday as well.

Namaste - Yvonne Washington

Hi Mindy - My name is Mee and I'll be coming in for the conf. from Chicago. There is another Chicago student Sheila who is attending as well. We've formed a Chicago study group to meet tonight actually at Sprout. (I'm out of town so won't work for me) Anyway, look in OEF in the IIN Crowd and join the Chicago contingents.
Warmly,
Mee

Hi Yvonne,
I'm arriving on Friday also!
I'd love to meet up with you in NY. It would be awesome to connect on the phone as well, before hand. Where do you live in IL? I'm in Highland Park.
My cell in 847-571-5460
Would love to chat!
Mindy

Hi Everyone! I live here in NYC (from Seattle 5 months ago). Juice Press is amazing for an incredible organic juice and raw food. Also, Rawvolution just opened in the East Village! Amazing raw bread sandwiches and cookies!! I have not been to Pure and would love to make a group res if anyone is interested. Lemme know! If anyone is having a hard time finding accomodations I have a super comfy couch for a night at $50 (if you are good weird). Lemme know.

Jamie

Hey
Just looking for hotel now. Anyone have any ideas? Help?
Thanks

For me, I find it very helpful to look at a menu before I go to the restaurants because I do like to try and eat healthy. I have been using City Maps to find great href=http://www.citymaps.com>NYC Restaurants that have a healthy feel. The great thing about City Maps is that I can see the prices, specials, directions, reviews... everything about the business on one website. It's a great resource for me

I am looking for a "reasonably priced", clean hotel, and possibly a roomate for the night. I am coming in from PA. It's a 4 hours communte, so I'd rather stay and play if I can afford it!

Another delicious and reasonably priced raw restaurant is the Quintessence NYC at 263 East 10th Street, (646) 654-1823.

Hello Clare. I am a newer student at IIN and my stay arrangements have been derailed. I am curious to know if you happen to have a spare room I could rent from you for the convention weekend. I have never been to NYC and am quite nervous. I am also low on funds so the Hotels are out of the question.

Love & Light,
Melissa

I am interested in your couch! Please let me know. My previous stay plans were derailed.

another great restaurant is caravan of dreams 405 E 6th st.
and the best vegan ice cream in the world is at lula's apothecary 516 E 6th st
