Food Forward TV
Most television shows about food are focused on competition between chefs and recipes for less than healthy meal ideas. The up and coming Food Forward is a refreshing, delicious, health-conscious change in the right direction. Food Forward, while still in the process of being created, is a 13 episode documentary focused on people in the United States who are trying to create more just and sustainable ways for people to think about, acquire, and eat their food.
The different episodes cover all different kinds of food activists from metropolitan areas around the country. From an urban gardener to a nouveau lunch lady, these people are making the changes that need to be made to create a happier and healthier country. We applaud all of the amazing work they have done and continue to do!
Since so many people spend their relaxation time watching television, this could educate a whole new group of people on these extremely important issues. To find out more about this inspiring project visit their website.

Thank you for honouring those little people who are making a huge difference in the world. Finally TV worth watching :-)
This is a very well done video - I look forwad to watching this show & sharing what I learn with others - especially KIDS.
Honestly, it brings happy tears to my eyes to know that other people really get it and are making a difference. Growing organic food in my yard is a joy everyday. It may be hard work, but it's also such a miracle to watch a handful of seeds become an abundance of vegetables! From the garden, to my kitchen to my body. No fossil fuels used, no chemicals, and tons of love!
I am working with good food folks in Central Brooklyn to show that everyone, regardless of income, wants and deserves access to healthy, fresh, and sustainably grown food. My current projects include a Carrotmob for the Healthy Bodega Initiative and a pilot online farmers market that will accept EBT.
Thank you for sharing this, it looks like it's going to be a great series! If we can just get people to CARE it will make such a difference! I think the main problems right now are ignorance and indifference, so hopefully shows like this will help to cure a lot of that.
